Pilates Beginner
Begin your Pilates journey the right way! Here is where you will learn the fundamentals of body movement, posture and deep core recruitment necessary for successfully performing not only in your Pilates classes, but for everyday life! It is recommended that all clients wishing to commence in the General Pilates class start with the Pilates Beginner class.
Pilates General
Once the fundamentals have been learnt in the Pilates Beginner class, test your strength, flexibility, balance and awareness in the General Pilates Class! Modifications and progressions are provided for varying fitness levels and small props are used to give resistance, challenge or assistance to the exercises.
Cardio- Pilates
Love Pilates but need more cardio? Well get ready to find the perfect fusion with our Cardio-Pilates Class. You will perform with a higher tempo of traditional Pilates exercises along with cardiovascular interval training to achieve the perfect blend of strength, flexibility and cardio training. It is recommended that you have progressed through Pilates Beginner and Pilates General before attending Cardio-Pilates.
Senior’s Pilates
Over 55’s can enjoy a gentle Pilates class in a comfortable environment with focus on improving bone density, decompressing joints and improving mobility. Small props are utilised in this class and exercises are tailored with specific conditions in mind, for example- osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, back pain etc.
Pilates for Dancers
A specific Pilates class for dancers taught by our Dance Pilates Specialist. This class will compliment the dancer’s training by increasing hip strength and range, general flexibility and improving dynamic stabilization and strength through the spine during movement. This class has a strong focus on developing strength in the lower limb to prepare the dancer for pointe work and prevent injury.
Exercise Physiology
Exercise Physiologists specialise in the prescription of exercise for health and wellbeing, chronic medical conditions, musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation as well improvements in sports performance. Sessions available as 1 on 1 consults or in small groups. Rebates available.
